“A Brush of Hope”, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Atlantic Branch’s artful campaign to help raise funds for people living with kidney disease has concluded with colourful flourish. Thousands of dollars have been raised for research and more – the final tally from paintings auctioned off on eBay is still a few strokes from completion.

Allison Crowe’s painting – a scene of Newfoundland, which she loves – will soon be hanging in the home of successful bidder “o***o” who won the auction and this unique work of Canadiana folk art, nosing ahead of some fierce competition, with a closing price of US $102.50 = CDN $136.08 to go to the Kidney Foundation.
