In 2006, The Kidney Foundation of Canada, through Tim Fox and the team then at the Western Ontario Chapter, launched “A Brush of Hope” – a creative fundraiser with all proceeds going toward kidney research in Canada.

Each Summer, compact painting kits and canvases are distributed across the land to a range of community figures – musicians, athletes, tv personalities, politicians and more. The resulting gallery of paintings are then auctioned on eBay come the Fall. The auction runs October 31 – November 9, 2015.

Allison Crowe’s participated from the start of this artful campaign – and her paintings are now in several private collections. The paint has yet to dry on her pictorial representation of Summer in Cow Head, Newfoundland (above) – which is off now to the Kidney Foundation.
